KXM ALBUM REVIEW Released 3/11/14

The Winery Dogs, California Breed, and KXM. Are trio supergroups the new cool thing these days? People are buying the albums so I say why not?

This power trio supergroup curiously named KXM (Korn X Mob) is made up of George Lynch (Dokken, Lynch Mob) Guitar, dUg Pinnick (King's X) Vocals/Bass, Ray Luzier (Korn) Drums.

As you can imagine this is a heavy rock album, but there is a soft side that I feel dUg brings to the music. This almost creates a new style of music in my opinion. It has elements from Korn, King's X, and Dokken that really stand out in different songs. I'm sure you are thinking, well duh! But I feel like these guys blending their talents and                                                                                         style together came out in great way                                                                                           and I'm not the only one who thinks so.
Check out their Billboard Debut ratings:
I say this is a great album for fans of the heavier rock genre. I think Korn fans would love it most, and the Dokken fans would love the more melodic songs such as, Rescue Me, Stars, and Gun Fight. For King's X fans I believe they would enjoy the album most because this album almost seems like a heavier King's X album.

Favorite Track: Rescue Me

Trivia: George Lynch auditioned twice for Ozzy Osbourne's lead guitarist position, but they went with Randy Rhoads in 1979. Then he replaced Brad Gillis in 1982, but that lasted for only three days before Ozzy changed his mind and decided to go with Jake E. Lee.
